Heavenly Father,
We come before You today on behalf of Darlene, thanking You for her life, her strength, and the many lives she has touched through her ministry, her compassion, and her willingness to help bring healing to others. Thank You for the work You have allowed her to do through her book, And He Restoreth My Soul: An Extensive View of Sexual Violence and Its Impact on Survivors and Society, and for the encouragement, awareness, and hope it has brought to so many.
Lord, You know the journey she is now facing as she battles cancer, and we ask for Your healing hand, Your peace, and Your sustaining grace to rest upon her each day. Strengthen her physically, encourage her emotionally, and uphold her spiritually through every treatment, every appointment, and every moment along the way.
Grant wisdom to every doctor, nurse, and medical professional involved in her care, and let every treatment and procedure work according to Your will. Surround her with loving family, faithful friends, and continued prayers and support.
We also pray for everyone reading this message. May we be reminded that You are still a God who heals, comforts, restores, and carries Your people through difficult seasons. Let hope rise above fear, faith rise above discouragement, and peace rise above anxiety.
Thank You, Lord, for Darlene’s voice, her testimony, and her heart for helping others find healing spiritually, emotionally, and mentally. Continue to strengthen her and let Your presence be very near to her in this season.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
